The AGGA is delighted to announce the rollout of a unique insurance program, a program which has been exclusively developed for AGGA members around Australia.

Members are offered both tailored coverage and preferential pricing, all of which have been designed with your insurance needs in mind, particularly the provision of Professional Indemnity cover, a cover that til now, has been virtually impossible for members to arrange. This PI is an exceptional program inclusion, however only remains available to Accredited Members of AGGA.

Coverages available within this program include: Business Insurance, General and Products Liability, Professional Liability, Marine Transit, Commercial Motor, Private Motor and Management Liability. In recognition of your support, a fee will be paid to the AGGA for every policy purchased within this program.

And what's more, IC Frith and Associates, our Insurance Broker partner for this initiative, has organised that, at no additional cost, every purchase under this program qualifies the business (and the owner's family) for entry to the AGGA travel protection program, a level of cover which will very pleasantly surprise you.

Why buy PI Insurance?

There has been a rise in the requirement for Contractors across all industry segments to provide proof of their Professional Indemnity insurance.

In many instances, Contractors are not permitted to tender without firstly providing such evidence. Exposures can arise where a potential "design or advice" service is being professionally relied upon by a third party.

Activities may include, but not be limited to: inspections, testings, and/or design work.

Having PI and Liability insured with the same insurer under a single program also mitigates any potential for dispute which can arise where a cause of loss has not been agreed.

Most importantly, all glaziers must give professional advice based on the Australian Standard - AS 1288.

Professional Indemnity Insurance is a policy that is designed to provide you with insurance protection against damages and legal costs, if it is found that you have acted negligently in the provision of a service, such as design or advice.

Litigation involving design faults/financial loss can be quite expensive!

Access and pricing for AGGA PI has been aligned with the AGGA Accreditation program.
