1.  What is Extended Warranty?

Extended Warranty is a contract that can be purchased from Harvey Norman to cover the cost of certain parts and service to goods beyond the manufacturer's original warranty period. When Extended Warranty is purchased the customer receives:

  • Up to 5 years total warranty for computers, peripherals, office equipment and mobile phones
  • Up to 7 years total warranty for white and brown goods, floor care, appliances, mowers and garden care
  • A repair or replace policy
  • Australia wide service
  • Call centre and claims support free of charge

Harvey Norman extended warranty begins immediately after the manufacturer's warranty period expires. IC Frith's role is to administer the Extended Warranty programme on behalf of Harvey Norman.

3.  What products can Extended Warranty be purchased on?

  • Computers

Extended Warranty offers an extension of up to 5 years total for eligible Computers, Peripherals, Office Equipment and Mobile Phones.

For example, if the manufacturer's warranty is 3 years then the maximum extended warranty period available is 2 years. Any combination of the warranty period is limited to a maximum of 5 years.

  • Electrical

Extended Warranty offers an extension of up to 7 years total for eligible White and Brown goods, Applicances, Mowers, Floor and Garden Care products.

For example, if the manufacturer's warranty is 3 years then the maximum extended warranty period available is 4 years. Any combination of the warranty period is limited to a maximum of 7 years.

4.  How do I purchase an Extended Warranty?

Extended Warranty is available at the time a customer purchases eligible computing and electrical goods from Harvey Norman. If extended warranty is taken up the customer is supplied with a Warranty Card. The Warranty Card sets out the full terms and conditions of extended warranty.

5.  How do I make an Extended Warranty claim?

In the event of an extended warranty claim customers are invited to contact our call centre on toll free 1300 810 118 between 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday (AEST) for directions to one of our authorised repairers.

For expediency customers should have their Harvey Norman purchase invoice available when phoning.
